It’s a known fact that Anupamaa is the Hindi remake of the Bengali series Sreemoyee. In fact, whether it’s Vanraj betraying Anu or Anu marrying Anuj, Rajan Shahi‘s show has included many storylines that were integral parts of Sreemoyee. Anupamaa: Anuj to die
Yes, in Sreemoyee, Rohit (Anuj) dies of cancer. Just like Anuj, Rohit is a wealthy businessman and marries Sreemoyee (Anu) in her late 40s. In the Bengali series, Rohit eventually succumbs to cancer. The track left many viewers of Sreemoyee disappointed; many people also slammed the makers for such a sad track. However, Rohit (Anuj)’s death intricately intertwined when the makers decided to end the show. It would be interesting to see if Rajan Shahi will show Anuj’s death in the script of the show or will he just tie Anuj’s death whenever the show ends.
Anupamaa: Anu to shift to an old age home after Anuj’s demise
Post Rohit’s demise, Sreemoyee leaves everything and decides to spend the rest of her life in an old age home, taking care of the elders. If you remember, when Anu and Anuj were happily married, they opened an NGO for elderly people. This means somewhere down the line, the makers of Anupamaa may eventually end the show by making Anu spend the rest of her life in the old age home, in order to honour Anuj and her dream.
Anupamaa: Vanraj, Kavya to divorce
In Sreemoyee, it is shown that eventually, June (Kavya) lets go of Anindo (Vanraj) as she understands that Anindo and she are not made for each other. The fact that currently Kavya and Vanraj are facing major issues in their marriage, the possibility is high that the upcoming episodes may feature a divorce track of Kavya and Vanraj.
Anupamaa: Pakhi to go back to Adhik
In Sreemoyee, Dhriti (Pakhi), who has trouble in her married life, eventually decides to give her marriage another chance and goes back to her husband. As Pakhi and Adhik are currently at loggerheads, it would be interesting to see if Pakhi reunites with Adhik.
Anupamaa: Paritosh to improve, Dimpy to shift to Mumbai
In Sreemoyee, Jumbo (Paritosh) and his wife reconcile and live happily ever after. Currently, Toshu and Kinjal are facing issues, which means if makers follow Sreemoyee, there’s a chance that Paritosh may finally turn into a good person in the upcoming episodes. As Titu has taken Samar’s place in the show, in Sreemoyee, Pratyush (Samar) and his wife shift to Mumbai to follow their passion for singing. Possibilities are there, Dimpy, along with Titu and Ansh, will shift to Mumbai to follow their passion for dance.
Anupamaa: Vanraj’s long-lost brother to arrive
In Sreemoyee, Anindo’s (Vanraj) long-lost brother, who is mentally unstable arrives in the later epsodes. It would be interesting to see if the makers would introduce the track of Vanraj’s long-lost brother in the upcoming episodes.
