The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on the strong-looking Rajasthan Royals in a group stage match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 2 (Monday).

Both teams have already met once in IPL 2022 with the Royals coming on top by a small margin.

While RR are placed second in the points table with six wins in nine matches, KKR have won just three matches in their nine encounters and are currently placed in the eighth spot in the points table.

To note, both KKR and RR have lost their previous matches and will want to make a strong comeback by winning the next match.

The Wankhede wicket has been really good for batting and a high-scoring match can be expected in the upcoming fixture. The small boundaries will make it difficult to defend and hence, the captain winning the toss is expected to bowl first.
